Super Junior’s member Kyu Hyun is suffering from severe chest pains and he was transferred to ICU unit recently. The pictures of their van demonstrate the severity of the accident.

April is proving to be a difficult month for 13 member group Super Junior. The month started out with Dong Hae’s swearing in China, then Lee Teuk’s candid confession of feeling up a girl made headline news a few days ago and car accident severly injured Kyu Hyun today. No wonder upset Super Junior fans are referring this month the cursed April. We wish Kyu Hyun the best…

The current news is that Kyu Hyun had been transfered to another hospital. The accident was caused by a punctured tyre.

Kyu Hyun was brought to Seoul's St. Mary hospital undergoing emergency treatment. (OMG T.T) while the other three will be moved to another hospital. Kyu Hyun's injuries are the most serious as he might be sitting at the seat behind the driver.

Hyun has been placed through ct scans and it seems there is another member who went for a ct scan as well. According to the police, Hyun's injuries are more serious while the other three suffered slight injuries. Shindong's are mild compared to the other three who according to some witness, have blood around their eye corner and various bruises/cuts on their bodies.

SM officials said that Ee Teuk and KyuHyun's injuries are more serious among the 4 BUT not threatening. But it seems that one of the managers have a more serious injury.

Korean time 9-4-07 12.20am, Super Junior members Lee Teuk, Eun Hyuk, Shin Dong and Kyu Hyun along with two managers met with a serious accident.

According to witnesses, the van suddenly slipped and the driver was unable to control the speed. In order not to drive into another lane, the van wobbled and turn a big round before it flipped over.

Eun Hyuk climbed out of the van himsef and doesn't seem to have a serious injury. Among them, Shin Dong had the least injuries. He kept going "what to do, what to do" when he saw the state that the other members were in. Witnesses said that members have blood at the corner of their eyes. SM officials said that the injuries were not threatening even though Ee Teuk and Kyu Hyun's injuries were more serious. The police state that all members suffered minor injuries (=.= wat were they thinking...) and that they will label this case as "accident due to unskilled driving".

Hyun's parents are at the hospital now. His mom was holding onto his hands while she said some prayers. Unofficial news said that Hyun's Dad told reporters that Hyun's condition is stable now. Both Hyun's parents held his hands and told him "it's going to be alright."

Beside Hyun, all 4 suffered from cuts around their eyes and some (hope not all) sprain their legs. Kyu Hyun might need a longer period of time to recover.

The van that was in the accident apparently was Kangta's and not Suju's. (Which means they used Kangta oppa's Van not the one they normally use.) Shin Dong is perfectly alright now and he is helping out the other members.

The popular group Super Junior, on the 19th 12:10 am, got into a car accident, where within their members, Kyuhyun was in the worst condition.
During the accident, there was Eeteuk, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, and Shindong in the van with two of their managers.
They were all coming back from ‘Kiss the Radio’ and were headed towards their dorm when they got into the accident between Olympic highway dong-jak bridge and banpo bridge’s underground road.
A witness said “Within the members, Shindong’s bruises were the least, and the other members had mild to severe ones such as bleeding around the eye.” Also, “ Shindong repeatedly asked the other members, ‘are you okay?’ and the other members checked each others conditions while crying” reported the witness.
They were in the road for 20 min until an emergency van came through 119 help and were taken to a hospital in Seoul Kangnam.
Kyunhyun, who received the biggest impact, was taken to the ER and went through a CT scan, and around 1:30 am was again transferred to the emergency room. Now, he is said to be conscious.
On the other hand, the other members Eeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Shindong are at a hospital in ingeun and have received simple emergency treatments and are resting.

Super Junior had a car accident on their way home from SuKiRa:
in the van were the managers, Eeteuk, ShinDong. EunHyuk and GyuHyun.

The van slipped and rolled a bit and is in horrible condition
(it was lying on the passenger's seat side).

In a news clip, ShinDong and EunHyuk are fully conscious and able to walk.
Eeteuk has apparently been conscious
but he has a torn&bleeding forehead and had to be transported with a carrier bed.

GyuHyun fell unconsious after the accident and suffers the most:
he took a CT scan and is diagnosed with broken ribs.
His conscience recovered within hours.
GyuHyun's father visited the hospital and wanted to tell the fans that GyuHyun is okay.

The van driver first blamed the tyre which apparently had a puncture
but the police found out that the van was overspeeding.

Overall, the boys are, unfortunately but fortunately (how ironic), alright, so don't worry too much.

Okay ... here is a recent picture ... of SD ... in the hospital ... he was the least hurt ... and he cried a lot ... holding onto the other members hands telling them that everything was going to be okay ... omgosh ... now even more tears ... the others have been moved to a different hospital ... to get treatments ... but Kyu ... who has the most serious injuries is still in Seongmo Hospital ... in Kangnam - Seoul to be checked ... T.T

Police determined the accident was caused by the fault of the driver.

Shindong, Eeteuk, Eunhyuk, and their two managers are fine. They just have bruises above their eyes or on their legs, that's it. Just light injuries. Kyuhyun is injured more, but not seriously, it just might take a bit longer to treat probably because of the CT scan.

The accident happened at 12:10 am as they were going home after Sukira. They hit a poll because the driver felt that the right front tire was coming off and got nervous. There was nothing wrong with the tire but there was a huge divet on the road which probably what caused him to panic.

Eunhyuk sent a text msg saying "Don't worry too much. I will heal very fast and show everyone a good image."

Sungmin said "I talked with Eunhyuk before radio and he said he's okay and that his condition has gotten much better."

Ryeowook said "He sent us a text message before the show to say that he'll listen to us so we better DJ well."

During the broadcast, Sungmin and Ryeowook said things like "Eeteuk and Eunhyuk are listening" "I want to see them" "We cried a lot before doing this broadcast" "I'm so thankful that they are still alive like this"

When they introduced Super Junior's "Miracle", they said "This is what needs to happen" (as in a miracle)

Dynamic of the car accident

On April 19, a little after midnight, Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, and two managers were on their way back to their apartment after a session of KBS Super Junior Kiss The Radio. While they were on the highway, the front left tire busted as the driver was switching lanes and the van ran into the guard rail/medium on the driver's side and skidded for about 30M+. At some point, the momentum caused the van to flip over on its right side.

Kyuhyun was sitting behind the driver's seat, therefore he was the most injured out of all the members. So far, he has a broken foot, fractured hip, broken ribs, and facial scratches/bruises. The fractured hip is bleeding and his broken ribs have come down on his lungs. He has already gone through tracheal resectional surgery to improve his breathing. They made a 1-2cm incision in his chest and inserted a tube so he can breathe better. He was slipping in an out of consciousness, and couldn't really speak because of the shock. Doctors are speculating that he might have to be in the hospital for a few months.

Shindong was the least injured out of the members, and has managed to leave the accident with just cuts and bruises on his face and body. He has been released from the hospital as a patient. There is no word whether or not he has returned to the apartment yet.

Leeteuk had glass shards in his back, and has had a successful surgery to remove them all. He also had a scratch near his eye and various cuts and bruises.

Eunhyuk was also reported to have glass shards in his back, and was said to have stitches.

So far, Kyuhyun is resting because his chest isn't healthy enough to go through surgery. He was transferred from the ER to the ICU. For now he has been given medication so he can rest for surgery.

Regarding schedules, all activities involving these four members have been cancelled. More specifically, MBC Popopo, on which Shindong is an MC, has been cancelled for now. Super Junior T was scheduled to perform on KBS2 Music Bank, but that was cancelled. Kyuhyun was planned to appear in a show filming, but because of his injuries, the network is having a meeting regarding that. Since both DJs for KBS Super Junior Kiss The Radio are injured, they have recruited other Super Junior members to take over temporarily. On the 19th, Ryeowook and Sungmin will DJ. Any date later than that is to be determined after Leeteuk and Eunhyuk's full diagnoses are released. Most likely, other members will be asked to rotate in as DJs.


SM released an official statement saying that the hospital needs to observe Kyuhyun for 3-5 days before releasing a confirmed statement about his health. They also said that Leeteuk has scratches on his forehead and near his eye from the glass. The accident was caused by a deflated left front tire. The driver was trying to switch lanes but lost control and collided with the guard rail.

At the time of the accident, from witness that saw it, the car suddenly began moving about dangerously, crashed into a gurad rail and overturned.

This witness said, "On midnight of the 18th while driving by chance I shared the road with a large van. At the intersection where the road separates going to Yuh Ee Do and Ban Po, the van suddenly started weaving dangerously. And then soon after it crashed into a guard rail."

"It surprised me so I stopped my car and ran towards the van. I was shocked when I saw ShiN Dong and the other members. Minus Shin Dong all the other members had collapsed. It also seemed the managers were also very much injured. One of them especially seemed like he was not in a good state seeing he had passed out. I found out later on that that was Super Junior member, Kyu Hyun."

The witness adds on, "Sooner after the police and ambulance arrived, and took care of those that were injured. It was so sudden I sdfsdf"

Super Junior's Kyu Hyun, Lee Teuk, Eun Hyuk, Shin Dong, these 4 members were involved in a car accident due to a tire popping.

They were on their way home after the live show "Super Junior's Kiss The Radio" on KBS Radio Cool FM.

Kyu Hyun who is known to be in the worst condition, is currently being attended to at Seoul Kang Nam ** Hospital. It is known that the injury on his chest is severe. The other members, Eun Hyuk, Shin Dong, and Lee Teuk were being treated for minor injuries at Sam Sung Clinic.
